2019 Headland Pageant
Little Miss, Petite Miss, Junior Miss & Miss
REGISTRATION - Thursday, January 24, 2019, 4:00-6:30 pm.
at the Headland Area Chamber of Commerce office
(Inside the City of Headland Municipal Complex, 25 Grove Street, on the Square)
- Registration fees will be collected and numbers will be drawn at Registration on January 24. A schedule of practices and other information will be handed out in information packets. Entry fee is $75.00. Please make checks payable to the Headland Area Chamber of Commerce.
- The pageant will be Saturday, March 2, 2019, 7:00 p.m. at the Headland High School Auditorium.
- All contestants must reside with their custodial parent at the E-911 address submitted on their application. All contestants must live in Headland or attend Headland Schools for at least three months prior to the pageant.
- All Little Miss Contestants must be currently in the 1st grade, entering the 2nd grade in the fall of 2019.
- All Petite Miss Contestants must be currently in the 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th grade.
- All Junior Miss Contestants must be currently in the 7th, 8th or 9th grade.
- All Miss Contestants must be between the ages of 17 and 21 before October 11, 2019 (NPF Date)
- All contestants must submit one black and white 5 X 7 photograph, due on February 14, 2019.
- At registration each contestant will be given a SIGNATURE PAGE for the program. Instead of selling patronage ads, you will have the opportunity to submit a picture OF YOUR CHOICE and have your family and friends sign YOUR page. The cost of the page is $100.00. We recommend that you ask your family and friends to pay $5.00 to sign your Good Luck page. We ask that you DO NOT contact local businesses for their help. The signature page, money and photo are due by 4:30pm, February 14, at the Headland Area Chamber of Commerce office.
- Little Miss Contestants will interview in an outfit of choice. The contestants will compete in Sunday/Heirloom dresses for onstage competition (no pageant dresses).
- Petite Miss and Junior Miss Contestants will compete in evening gown for onstage competition. Junior Miss contestants will interview in evening gown prior to the pageant. Petite Miss contestants will not have interviews.
- Miss Contestants will need a suit or Sunday dress for interview/onstage verbal competition (same suit or dress must be worn for both). Contestants will also compete in evening gown. Miss Contestants must provide three (3) written letters of recommendations and sign a Responsibility Agreement prior to competing.
- The Headland Area Chamber of Commerce (HACC) sponsors the pageant. The HACC Board of Directors reserves the right to address any circumstance that should arise at any given time.
